Macro for inserting text and information into the file you are currently reading. More information here:

WHATFILE is a Windows and Linux application that is designed to help you identify the type of a file. This helps when viewing files on Windows or Linux. It was written by a single developer who decided to write the program.
WHATFILE is intended for personal use, not for production or commercial use.
WHATFILE is a good alternative to other applications that claim to do the same thing.
WHATFILE does not scan files, it just looks at the file. This is not a virus scanner, it’s not a plug-in for Windows Explorer, it’s a viewer. WhatFile does not try to determine if the file is a virus, it just looks at the file. WhatFile does not edit the file, it just shows you the contents of the file, and identifies its type.
WhatFile is an open source project, and is distributed under the GPL.
WHATFILE requires users to accept the license conditions first before running the program.
WHATFILE is not compatible with file extensions, it does not try to associate a file extension with a file type.
You are not to redistribute WhatFile or any updates. WhatFile is intended to be used locally only.

WhatFile is an utility to find the file type of a file, i.e. what file it really is. It works in two ways:
* If the file extension for a file is known, it will associate that file extension with the file type for you.
* If the file extension for a file is not known, it will simply list the file extension, character count, and line count for the file.
WhatFile will work in DOS, Windows, and Linux. It will work in CD-ROMs and floppy disks, so you can open even drive letters that you cannot open normally (for example, your „CD-ROM drive“ is really your floppy disk drive).
WhatFile is designed to be a viewer, not a disk editor. If you want to make changes to the file, please use another tool.
WhatFile is not meant to be a virus scanner. WhatFile is a file viewer that identifies the file type for you. It does not try to identify if the file is a virus, it just looks at the file.
WhatFile is released under the GPL license.
