Bookshops usually do not keep the books in their back room. Instead the book is stored in the room next door. This room is usually called the ‚back-room‘. The book is kept in the back-room and the time taken to get it is called the’return time‘. The return time is usually longer than the ‚delivery time‘. The return time is usually called the ‚excess time‘.

Why a Bookshop does not keep the books in the back room?

It has been seen that the bookshop is required to get a book or a book of the same category as the one which was sold last time. This is to ensure that the book is not sold again. If the book is not kept in the back room, the book will be sold again. To avoid this, the book is kept in the room next to the room where the books are kept and a price is indicated. The customer can buy this book if he wants. This will save the bookshop from spending the time to get the book from the back room.
